Maria Lúcia Alvim: immagini translingue, poetica transgenerazionale
Abstract
This article focuses on the unique production and untimely reception of the poet and collage artist Maria Lúcia Alvim. It seeks to show that the poet does not belong to a ‘literary generation’, but remains displaced, foreign to the generational dynamics of her youth. It thus draws a parallel between this situation and that of other authors who write and/or publish late in life, and proposes the concepts of ‘generational constellation’ and ‘poets without a generation’. It also highlights the translingual practices that permeate Maria Lúcia Alvim's poetry and visual works, lending a sense of foreignness to her polyphonic poetics.
