Abstract
This article proposes a reading of the two poetry collections published by Rodrigo Lobo Damasceno, Casa do Norte (2020) and Limalha (2023), focusing on how they treat the memory of the family and the regional past of the Northeast, the present as experienced in everyday life in the city of São Paulo, and a cosmopolitan imagination of the future. The study highlights a questioning of nostalgic or utopian constructs, leading to metamorphoses and shifts in conventional images of the regional, national, and universal, as well as in the understanding of lyrical and epic forms and the relationship between them.
