Il pensiero in azione: Paolo Sarpi oltre l’Interdetto
abstract
Paolo Sarpi, having passed the age of fifty, took the opportunity of the Interdict dispute to step out of his conventual world and become the promoter of a fight against the yoke that burdened Italy because of the Hispanic-Pontiff diarchy. His word becomes the weapon of a political-religious action, of unmasking the deceptions of the Roman Church that has usurped the sovereignty of the State, called back to the civil values of its mission.
