Abstract
Grilli’s interpretation of Joan Maragall − the poet who has been purported to be a symbol of Catalan Modernism − is a kaleidoscopic study of literature, art and music. Nonetheless, it maintains an internal coherence over the course of the Grilli’s critical reading and thinking. His maragallian analysis are organized in three points: the Montale’s translations of the «Cant Espiritual»; the vision of a reloaded mythology in an urban dimension (Count Arnau) and, finally, the shrinkage of the Odissean character’s value in Nausica.
