Tradurre: un viaggio nel tempo

Abstract

La traduzione di un testo che appartiene a un universo culturale remoto è come un viaggio nel tempo: affidandosi alla guida di un traduttore, i nuovi lettori possono risalire i secoli ed esplorare un mondo che altrimenti rimarrebbe accessibile solo a una limitata cerchia di esperti. I contributi raccolti in questo volume, incentrati sui testi del medioevo germanico, offrono significativi apporti alla riflessione sul ruolo specifico della filologia nell’ambito della ‘traduzione intertemporale’, evidenziando la fondamentale funzione svolta nell’attuale panorama culturale da una disciplina che valorizza la capacità di ‘leggere lentamente’ e il rispetto verso il dato testuale.
