Abstract Il presente contributo illustra i risultati di una ricerca-azione sullo sviluppo dell’autonomia nell’apprendimento della lingua cinese in una scuola secondaria di II grado italiana nella quale è stato introdotto l’utilizzo di una piattaforma Wiki per sperimentare come le tecnologie possano aiutare gli apprendenti di madrelingua italiana in un primo contatto con una lingua distante come il cinese. Si è cercato altresì di verificare come le tecnologie possano essere determinanti per l’acquisizione di una maggior consapevolezza nell’apprendimento della lingua straniera. This paper is the result of a action-research on the development of learner autonomy with students of Chinese in Italian upper secondary schools. In order to promote learner autonomy, the use of a wiki platform was introduced; this was done to explore how technology can help learners familiarize with a remote language such as Chinese, differing so much from other languages. It was also used to test in what way it can bring about greater confidence in learning a foreign language.
