Abstract

This article points out how the most recent archaeological studies have investigated the environmental layout of landscapes to better understand its dynamics in the long term. Indeed a more comprehensive vision of these aspects has a strong impact on the perception of landscapes of contemporary communities and on the relationship between societies and environmental dynamics.
