Priorities in Teaching Italian SL to Incoming Erasmus Students

Abstract

Working with incoming Erasmus students is a complex and challenging task at the same time. They are a kind of students that require a specific teaching. Most often, the teacher of Italian is one of the few to which foreign student can address their doubts, ask for help, express their unease with a reality that is hard to understand. It is necessary for the teacher to elaborate language education methods which aim at encouraging language learning and getting the students to expose themselves, which provide them with the means to read the world around them, invite them to make acquaintance with the other ‘fellow travellers’, supply them with the tools through which they can attend the courses and take examinations with ease.
