Abstract

This paper synthesises the results of a comparative analysis carried out on three of Cervantes’s biographies. The biographies are compared in order to appreciate the different goals, concerns, and criteria guiding the three biographers Jorge García López, Jordi Gracia, and José Manuel Lucía Megías. Drawing from Carla Perugini, I provide original details on the relationships Cervantes and his family entertained with some influential figures of the Italian society.
