Chiesa e Stato nella Repubblica di Venezia: giochi di scala
abstract
Through the analysis of a conflict between the bishop of Como and the patriarch of Aquileia in 1632, the essay aims to show how the traditionally neatly separated roles of Church and State often mingled in the historical reality. To do so, it takes into account different scales of analysis (bishops, State authorities, Roman Curia, patricians, etc.).
