Twentieth Century and Surroundings
Grilli in Catalonia

abstract
This volume celebrates the closing of the long and prolific academic career of Giuseppe Grilli, whose long and fruitful path in the study of Catalan literature produced several illuminations and troballes. It develops on the ambition of recalling this path through the testimonies of a life made up of affective and literary relationships: on the one hand, the memory of friends, pupils, poets; on the other hand, the diachronic development of the topics on which the most important strands of study of the second part of the 20th century were articulated. The comparison of the classics and the historiography of criticism, Italian translations and research on the Catalan Baroque are some of the Grillian themes presented here in their most topical approaches, together with the creative contributions of Manuel Foraster, Pere Gimferrer and Narcís Comadira.
