Abstract

The labor of recovering the typographic trajectory of some printing workshops in Milan in the seventeenth century indicates that the environment of the Milanese typographers and editors favored the diffusion of Golden Age Spanish literature in the intellectual structure of the capital of the Milanesado. In this work, we will show all the data that we could recover during the study of the production of some Milanese workshops of the period: we will go through the analysis of agents’ activity who participated in the circulation of books related to Spanish culture to understand the physiognomy of the cultural universe of one of the most relevant Italian territories of the Spanish Crown in the seventeenth century.
