Abstract
Epicedion for Albiera degli Albizzi (as well as the elegy for Lalage, it too composed at a young age) shows Poliziano already firmly trained on classical models, but yet still influenced by traditional cultural factors, subsequently abandoned because no longer corresponding to the most up-to-date humanistic principles.
