dc.description.abstract	The article examines the archaeological site of Bizjakova hiša in Kobarid, in the area of Zgornje Posočje (Upper Soča Valley), where a burial with seven preserved horses’ skeletons and several metal finds (weapons, harness, jewellery, etc.) was found in 2010. Most of the finds are similar to the Celtic type. The burial dates back to the period around 300 BC and is part of the LT B2 phase. At the moment it is considered a singular event belonging to a ritual, which finds some confirmation in the sites of worship and in the sanctuaries in the Central European or Alpine area. It is one of the first sites in the Soča Valley where large finds dating back to the ancient La Tène period have been found; moreover, it is also the site with the largest number of horse skeletons dating back to the Iron Age.
