Abstract
In Europe in the Iron Age the burials of horses in the necropolis are frequent. The skeleton of the horse from tomb 49 in the Opera Pia’s necropolis was found whole. This animals is well proportioned and have muscular limbs. The skeleton belonged to a 12-15 year old male horse. The specimen was 130 cm high. After the restoration the skeleton was placed in a showcase.
