dc.description.abstract	In 1947 Josep Vicenç Foix published a collection of seventy sonnets, entitled Sol, i de dol, that is a synthesis of medieval tradition (Catalan, Occitan, but also Italian) and avant-garde tendencies. In this article it is presented an Italian translation of six sonnets (1, 3, 5, 11, 19 e 40 of Sol, i de dol), in which it is recovered the archaic coloring of the texts (when there is) thanks to the use of Italian poetic vocabulary from the Middle Ages.

abstract

In 1947 Josep Vicenç Foix published a collection of seventy sonnets, entitled Sol, i de dol, that is a synthesis of medieval tradition (Catalan, Occitan, but also Italian) and avant-garde tendencies. In this article it is presented an Italian translation of six sonnets (1, 3, 5, 11, 19 e 40 of Sol, i de dol), in which it is recovered the archaic coloring of the texts (when there is) thanks to the use of Italian poetic vocabulary from the Middle Ages.
