Abstract
This volume reassesses Armenian art in Iran through the interpretive frameworks of transculturality, connected histories, and cultural entanglement. Contributions by Patrick Donabédian, Levon Chookaszian, Maurizio Boriani, Andreh Marouti, Marco Brambilla, and Talinn Grigor explore architecture, monumental painting, funerary monuments, heritage conservation, and modern architecture, demonstrating that Armenian artistic production in Iran developed through continuous interaction with Persian, Caucasian, Mediterranean, and European traditions. Moving beyond national paradigms, the volume presents Armenian art as a dynamic process of cultural co-creation that reshaped identities over two millennia and offers a new perspective on artistic exchange across Eurasia.
