Abstract

Fazun recounts his pilgrimages from a Chinese holy mountain to the heart of Tibet. He describes his teachers, the hardships of the road, and the years spent studying in Eastern Tibet and in Tibet’s capital, Lhasa. The chapter is a memoir of formation, as well as a record of the relationships that made his pilgrimages possible.
