Abstract

This contribution outlines twenty characteristics associated with documentary writing. As Jorge Volpi explores his own work, he also offers a broader perspective on the complex relationship between fiction and non-fiction. The reflection sheds light on the evolving boundaries between these two literary genres, highlighting their intersections, divergences, and the narrative strategies that shape documentary writing.
