Abstract

In Poesía documental. Nosotros, los salvados by Jacqueline Golberg (2015) the fragmentary remembrance of the witness is an object of rewriting and a guiding paradigm of writing itself. Goldberg transforms filmic testimonies of Shoah survivors in a collection of poems, ‘elaborates a narrative’, and points to an idea of document where poetry becomes memory as a living experience. She dislocates the original text and institutes the place of the witness as a place of translation: his/her word must be thought from the beginning as a saying to and for an other. The testimonial voice modifies and is modified; it endures as long as it incorporates a difference and a discontinuity with respect to its conventions.
