Abstract
Passando per l’Eptaneso, verso Costantinopoli e oltre, nelle isole dell’Egeo, a Creta, a Cipro e negli altri avamposti nel Levante, Venezia ha stabilito intense relazioni politiche, commerciali, amministrative, culturali e linguistiche lasciando un’impronta ancora molto evidente sul mondo greco moderno. In laguna e nei possedimenti di terraferma, ma soprattutto nelle terre di lingua greca, i rapporti fra le due realtà hanno creato sinergie e interscambi, contribuendo allo sviluppo di trame complesse di saperi e conoscenze. Il volume raccoglie contributi scientifici su incontri, persone, libri e parole che hanno generato una storia comune. Lo sguardo nuovo e la nuova prospettiva critica si devono all’eredità culturale che Mario Vitti (1926-2023) ha lasciato alla neogrecistica italiana.
