Abstract
El viaje entretenido, by Agustín de Rojas Villandrando, is one of the first printed volumes of theatre in the seventeenth century. Far from the models used by the main theatrical collections of the century, it was spread in a small octavo book that reached seven editions between 1603 and 1624. Its marginality, due to the literary genre of the work, contrasts with its atypical proliferation as an editorial object, which places the book at the center of the interest of readers and editors alike throughout the Spanish Peninsula, making out of it a precursor of printed short plays.
