Abstract
The Partes de comedias supervised by Lope de Vega were printed in Madrid – the centre of the empire –, between 1617 and 1625, and later in 1635. This corpus consists of 14 volumes and serves to establish a pattern of action in the printing houses of the court in the first third of the seventeenth century, with particular attention to the management of time. This study examines, for example, the increase or decrease in the pace of work according to certain market interests; it establishes the average time taken for certain processes, such as the production of the clean copy, the printing original; and it also updates some of the bibliographical data on these editions, particularly those relating to collaboration between printers, different issues and ghost editions.
