Abstract
Le interpretazioni della storia della RPC sono qui esaminate da prospettive diverse, che vanno dalla peculiare rilettura del proprio passato operata dal PCC, alle manipolazioni del cosiddetto ‘nichilismo storico’, dal ricorso all’analogia storica con riferimento all’attualità politica, all’approccio storiografico della Global History. Nel volume è indagato, inoltre, il complesso rapporto tra storia e memoria – pubblica e individuale – e i suoi sviluppi all’interno della narrativa cinese moderna e contemporanea. Infine, ad arricchire il quadro, concorrono le narrazioni a carattere storico della produzione televisiva, nonché particolari esempi di storia di genere della minoranza Hakka.
