Diógenes como empresa personal en Lope de Vega (y su modelo humanístico)
Abstract
Lope de Vega expressed a particular interest in the figure of the cynic philosopher Diogenes throughout his life and even used it as a personal emblem in the poem Jerusalén conquistada. Probably followed the Benito Arias Montano’s model, who also used the Greek mathematician Archimedes as a personal emblem and even stamped his figure on the cover of the Biblia Regia.
