Abstract

This paper explores the complex and multidisciplinary role of intercultural mediators in addressing human trafficking. It highlights the essential linguistic, cultural, psychological, and legal skills required to support victims effectively. Emphasis is placed on the need for continuous training and formal certification to ensure professional standards. A specific proposal for competence certification (Comlint) is presented, aiming to standardize mediator qualifications and enhance victim protection through informed, ethical, and culturally sensitive communication.
