Abstract

Accessibility has become a key area in audiovisual translation (AVT). This study analyzes the initial audiodescription (AD) scripts produced by students from two master’s programs (UE and UCM) after receiving specific training. The tasks involved describing two short clips with distinct challenges: one with extensive dialogue and action, and another without dialogue but with music. The analysis focused on students’ ability to select relevant information, use clear language, and adapt to the target audience. Results show greater accuracy in more constrained contexts. Future directions in training and research are also discussed.
