Abstract
The article focuses on an anomalous situation of Italian criticism, concerning the relationship between the works of d’Annunzio and Montale: after the Pier Vincenzo Mengaldo’s inaugural study, dating back to 1966, utterly important but not exhaustive, only a few scholars have taken up partially the argument.
