abstract
The volumes present the essays of a group of Spanish Language and Literature academics at Italian universities and another group of Italian Language and Literature professors at Spanish universities. All of them dedicate their investigations to literary translation, from the theoretical and practical point of view, focusing on the problem of linguistic variation. Throughout texts belonging to different ages, from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to the tewntifisst century, the essays address different aspects of translation from Spanish into Italian and vice versa, and from Italian into Catalan, underlying how the dialogue between Spain and Italy is still very topical.
