In recent years, however, Afropean authors have made it a major theme. Léonora Miano’s La Saison de l’ombre (2013), Wilfried N’Sondé’s Un Océan, deux mers, trois continents (2018) and David Diop’s La Porte du voyage sans retour (2021) offer what Achille Mbembe, in Sortir de la grande nuit (2010), refers to as a “cultural reconfiguration”, specific to “the age of dispersion and circulation”.
