Abstract
Il volume raccoglie gli Atti del Convegno del progetto Food and S.T.O.N.E.S. (Venezia, 9-11 maggio 2024) e analizza le reti economiche e sociali dell’alto medioevo nell’area adriatica, da Venezia alla Puglia. Le fonti scritte sono impiegate in modo funzionale all’interpretazione dei dati archeologici. L’indagine privilegia manufatti in pietra e oggetti metallici, oltre a vetro e ceramica riletti con nuovi strumenti. L’uso di WebGIS e analisi archeometriche ha consentito di ricostruire l’origine dei materiali e la rete degli antichi approdi, evidenziando continuità e trasformazioni insediative. I risultati del progetto sono integrati con le riflessioni teoriche sviluppate dai discussant nel corso del Convegno.
