La mediazione interlinguistica interculturale: una professione in cerca di riconoscimento
Abstract
Intercultural Mediation is a pedagogical act that creates a Third Space for dialogue and transformation, where cultures meet and enrich one another. In Italy, the mediator is essential to social cohesion, but the lack of national recognition undermines its stability and professional dignity. Fragmented regulations create disparities in training pathways and working conditions. A National Register would ensure shared standards, establishing the mediator as a strategic figure among social professions, fostering intercultural citizenship. The anti-trafficking system serves as a model for the recognition and valorization of the mediator’s role.
