Abstract
The optimal approach for documenting information within a uniform documentary series involves the establishment of a database. To ensure the functionality of datafication, it is recommended to implement a design that encompasses accessibility, interoperability, and efficient data retrieval. An exemplar instance of this is represented by the EpiCAT platform, designed for the curation of family correspondences originating from Catalonia during the span of the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries. While this platform facilitates the association of metadata, its utilization in the context of text mining remains unexplored. This emerging paradigm necessitates novel viewpoints in the formulation of historical discourse.
