Evidence of this falling in love is said to be a letter that Ferrante dedicated to a certain Barbara B., a woman who rejected a lover's offers of love. This contribution demonstrates, through the words of Pallavicino himself, that the letter is part of a collection of exemplary letters written in accordance with certain situations, and that the dedicatee of the letter to Barbara B. is not Strozzi.
