Abstract
This contribution collects the essays by women writers of Bosnian and Yugoslav origins who now live in Italy. In their writings they testify their migration to Italy and the universal experience of living between two identities, two languages and two or more cultural patterns, they describe the memory of the war and the search for new tools in order to acquire a new language and a new identity by writing in a new social and cultural environment. Testimonies are followed by a selection of short texts from their books.
