abstract

The present paper is a study of two musical adaptations of Federico García Lorca’s play Amor de don Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín by two venetian composers linked to the Darmstadt School, Luigi Nono and Bruno Maderna, respectively a ballet entitled Der rote Mantel, which uses the German translation by Enrique Beck, and a radiophonic opera based on the Italian translation by Vittorio Bodini, Don Perlimplín ovvero il trionfo dell’amore e dell’immaginazione.
