The Arrival of Orestes in Athens (schol. Eur. Or. 1648 = Hellanic. fr. 169 Fowler)
abstract
This contribution analyses fr. 169 Fowler of Hellanikos of Lesbos, which focuses on the first four characters tried in the Areopagus court. The goal is to reconstruct some of the possible ways in which the traditions about Orestes in Athens were created and updated over time.
