Traduire Molière en scène
Dario Fo, la commedia dell’arte et la réécriture du Médecin volant à la Comédie-Française
Abstract
The article examines Dario Fo’s stage rewriting of Molière’s Le Médecin volant, produced at the Comédie-Française in 1990. Through a comparison between the original text and the adaptation, the study shows how theatrical translation takes shape as a performative and intercultural practice. Lazzi, singing, and improvisation transform Molière’s comedy into a laboratory of cultural transfer, where the tradition of commedia dell’arte redefines both the comic and the function of the stage.
