abstract

In the context of the increasing controls as the Brenner Border many migrants were pushed to the margins of society. Asylum seekers arrived in the city of Bozen trough the Brenner route, are defined through categories such as ‘out of quota’ ‘autonomous arrivals’ ‘irregular’. These labels differentiate reception practices according to a criterion of inadmissibility. In this article we will focus on the production of internal borders and on the violations of rights of asylum seekers in this area.
