La irrupción de la subjetividad en las acotaciones escénicas de Jardiel Poncela
Un análisis del fenómeno en cinco comedias del autor (1927-1940)
Abstract
Jardiel Poncela devoted a part of his literary efforts to compose his stage directions, a fundamental component of his theatre. Stage directions are endowed with so peculiar characteristics that they often became decisive pieces in the interpretation of the author’s dramatic writing. Although critics have occasionally highlighted this factor, detailed studies have been lacking, therefore this is the scope of this article. We will analyze some examples from five playwrights, and we will highlight some rhetorical, linguistic, stylistic mechanisms with which Jardiel seems to make one’s presence felt in his stage directions writing.
