Abstract
This study examines Carolingian-Romanesque hybrid bookbindings in Cambrai Cathedral manuscripts, employing biocodicological analysis to assess their construction and material composition. It explores the cultural and technological implications of these bindings within the medieval book production context, highlighting the transition between Carolingian and Romanesque styles. The research underscores the significance of bindings in understanding the bookʼs material history, showcasing their role in reflecting broader cultural and technological shifts in medieval Europe.
