Inclusion of Vulnerable Age Groups through Membership and Participation
abstract
This chapter examines to what extent social partners are able to successfully identify issues concerning the vulnerable age groups of workers, to represent the interests of those groups, and to introduce those issues into the negotiation system constituting the framework of social dialogue institutions in different countries. Of particular emphasis within the chapter is the subject of the role of representatives of vulnerable groups present within social organisations, including the topic of special structures created to strengthen the position of those groups.
