L'immigrazione italiana in Svizzera - XXI° Secolo
abstract
In the past decades, Italian migrant workers in Switzerland did not have a high level of education. In contemporary migration the situation is radically different: most of the Italian migrants own a university or high school degree. However, their career possibilities are not com- parable to those of nationals. It has been estimated that, from 2011 to 2013, 38% of German and French people have been employed in management positions, while the percentage of Italians and Spanish arrives at only 25%. This article deals with various aspects of the Italian migration in Switzerland from an historical and political point of view.
