Esperienze di un traduttore del Lancelot-Graal
abstract
The publication of the first Italian translation of the Old French Lancelot-Grail cycle offers the opportunity to discuss the obstacles of such an undertaking and to reconsider the textual and stylistic features of this Medieval masterpiece. After presenting an overview of the problems related to the manuscripts and editions of the cycle, this essay examines the general and specific challenges faced by translators. Finally, the author comments on a passage of the Italian translation vis-à-vis the French text.
