Abstract
Ground of experimentation, encounter and in-depth study, drawing is configured as a favourite tool for the critical interpretation of the creative processes that inspire artists of all times, but also for the understanding of the models and visual culture in which they are immersed. As a point of convergence between techniques, genres and occasions, drawings therefore provide a very fertile field for cross-cutting research in the arts, especially in a century like the Nineteenth, which sees the emergence of new forms of expression and the transformation of canons and dynamics consolidated in previous epochs.
