dc.description.abstract	The aim of this paper is to analyse Hom. Od. 12.42-43 to show how Circe’s description of the danger posed by the Sirens can be related to Odysseus’ return to Ithaca. In fact, a literary and textual analysis, which also concerns the presence of similar motifs in the Iliad, will show how the unnamed νοστήσας, γυνή, and τέκνα alluded to by Circe can be typically associated to the characters of Odysseus, Penelope, and Telemachus such as they are portrayed when the hero returns to Ithaca.

abstract
