Research Article | From Text Analysis to Communicative Competence in Literary Texts
Abstract
In a process that took about fifteen years, the way of teaching literature underwent a real revolution. The previous method conceived the teaching of literature as history of literature; the new one aims at developing the ability of reading literary texts through a textual analysis. The model of communicative competence – which has been applied in language education but not as much in the teaching of literature – can help broaden the area of intervention. Literary communication is the discipline the student should come to master.
