Research Article | Motivating to Language Evaluation
Abstract
As every teacher knows, motivation in language teaching is a big challenge and even more challenging is to motivate students towards evaluation. How to motivate students in language learning has long been researched and some of the research has led to meaningful models to enhance motivation. This essay examines the main models of motivation and presents a new model concerning motivation in evaluation. In the following text, some procedures are explained to raise students’ willingness to be evaluated, with consideration of the washback effect of evaluation on their learning.
