dc.description.abstract	In the early years of the 20th century, a base was found at Delos, celebrating the pancratiast and wrestler Menodoros son of Gnaios, together with a marble slab providing thirty-six inscribed wreaths. A reconstruction of the base is provided, combined with an analysis of the text of the inscriptions (I.Délos 1957 and 2498), based on recent studies. The Delian monument, which can be dated to the years 120-110 BC, stands out for the variety of agons it records: in some cases, it is one of the oldest attestations. A brief survey of these particular agons is provided.
