abstract
This first volume of the series Eurasiatica. Quaderni di Studi su Balcani, Anatolia, Iran, Caucasus and Central Asia brings together several articles devoted to the Caucasus and Central Asia. They are widely distinct regions, but at the same time connected by numerous historical, cultural, political and economic ties. And they also closely relate to their neighbouring areas, in particular Iran, Turkey, and Russia. This volume has the ambition of reinforcing the scientific interest in regions that, in addition to their traditional historical and cultural importance, are assuming an increasingly pronounced political and economic relevance.
